Payment Methods
The Payment Methods page lets you manage the credit and debit cards used for your Palpaca subscription. Cards are securely handled through Stripe — Palpaca never stores your card details directly.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”You must save your billing information before you can manage payment methods. If billing information has not been saved yet, the page displays a message: “Save billing information first to manage payment methods.”
Adding a Payment Method
Section titled “Adding a Payment Method”- Click the gear icon in the left sidebar to open settings
- Navigate to Payment Methods
- In the Add Payment Method section, enter your card details using the Stripe card form
- Click Add
The card is securely saved to your Stripe account and appears in the Saved Methods list below.
Saved Methods
Section titled “Saved Methods”Your saved cards are listed with:
- Card brand and last four digits — for example, “Visa **** 4242”
- Default badge — indicates which card is used for automatic payments
- Expiration date — the card’s expiry month and year
Setting a Default Payment Method
Section titled “Setting a Default Payment Method”Your default payment method is used for subscription charges. To change it:
- Find the card you want to make default in the Saved Methods list
- Click the Set default link next to it
The default badge moves to the selected card.
Removing a Payment Method
Section titled “Removing a Payment Method”To remove a saved card, click the delete button (red icon) next to it. The card is detached from your Stripe account and can no longer be used for payments.
You cannot remove your default payment method if it is the only card on file and you have an active subscription.
Security
Section titled “Security”All card data is processed and stored by Stripe. Palpaca communicates with Stripe through secure setup intents, meaning your full card number never passes through Palpaca’s servers.
