Understanding Credits
Credits are the currency you spend when using the AI agent in Palpaca. Every interaction with the agent costs one credit, so understanding how credits work helps you plan your usage.
How Credits Are Consumed
Section titled “How Credits Are Consumed”Each time you send a prompt to the agent, one credit is deducted from your balance. This applies whether you are in Build mode or Plan mode, and whether the prompt is your first or a follow-up refinement.
Credit Types
Section titled “Credit Types”Your credit balance is made up of two types:
| Type | Source | Color in Credit Bar |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Included with your account | Blue |
| Purchased | Included with your subscription plan | Green |
The credit bar in the top-right corner of the screen shows your balance at a glance. The blue segment represents free credits, and the green segment represents purchased credits.
Rollover Rules
Section titled “Rollover Rules”Unused credits do not disappear at the end of each billing cycle. The rollover period depends on your plan type:
- Monthly plans — credits roll over for 1 month. Any credits unused after two consecutive months expire.
- Annual plans — credits are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase, giving you flexibility to use them at your own pace.
Checking Your Balance
Section titled “Checking Your Balance”Click the credit bar in the top-right corner of the screen to expand the pricing panel. This shows your current balance broken down by credit type, along with available plans if you need more.
Running Low?
Section titled “Running Low?”If your credit balance is getting low, you can upgrade your plan — higher-tier plans include more credits per month.
